She was born Jan. 16, 1907, in Petersburg, the daughter of John and Mary Wyybki Duncheon. She married Louis Lonergan and later Joseph R. Doolin. Both preceded her in death. Mrs. Doolin owned and operated Lonergan Grocery Store for many years. She had been a charter member of Catholic Daughters of America, a member of the Altar and Rosary Society and Church of Our Saviour. Surviving are seven sons, Frank Doolin of Bothell, Wash., Joseph Doolin of Murrayville, John Doolin of Jacksonville, Charles Doolin of Houston, Texas, James Doolin of Jacksonville, Reginald Doolin of Jacksonville and Raymond Doolin of Glen Burnie, Md.; five daughters, Helen Paugh of Baltimore, Md., Mrs. Hugh (Cecilia) Bradshaw of Springfield, Mrs. Louis "Jack" (Shirley) Howell of Jacksonville, Mary Jane Casey of Murrayville and Mrs. Donald (Fern) Parks of Jacksonville; 36 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Ralph (Dorothy) Eoff of Jacksonville and Mrs. Lewis (Mary) Wiley of Galesburg. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Church of Our Saviour. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Williamson Funeral Home in Jacksonville is in charge of arrangements. Edward W. Puddister, 80, of 16 South St., died Tuesday in Hillcrest Nursing Home. He leaves his wife, Ellen (Kennedy) Averso of Fitchburg; two sons, William Puddister of Melrose and Gary Reidister of Palau Island in the South Pacific; daughter Donna Eoff of Gallup, N.M.; a step-son Barry L. Averso of Quaker Hills, Conn.; two step-daughters, Peggy-Jo Averso of Fitchburg and Mari-ann Rantala of Ashby; four grandchildren and four step-grandchildren. His first wife, Anna (Zuben) Puddister, died in 1984. He was born in Ochre Pit Cove, Newfoundland, son of William H. and Alice (Martin) Puddister, and lived in Melrose for 70 years before moving to Fitchburg three years ago. He was staff sergeant with the U.S. Army in the 38th Engineering Corp. during World War II. He was a carpenter and worked for different contractors in the Boston area, retiring in 1976. He worked for Western Electric for 10 years. He was a member of the Carpenters Union local 218 of Malden. A private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family.
