A bartender in a restaurant, he was born Dec. 7, 1951, in Albuquerque, N.M., and was a 13-year resident of Las Vegas. He is survived by his son, Monte of Lakewood, Calif.; parents, Zoe and William, both of Aztec, N.M.; sisters, Zorena Anderson of Durango, Colo., and Zenise Miles of Albuquerque; brothers, Randy of Pagosa Springs, Colo., and Larson of Durango; and one grandchild. Services will be at 10 a.m. Sunday in Palm Mortuary-Eastern. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- AZTEC - Memorial services for Zoe Lorena Eoff, 76, were held Saturday, Aug. l4, 1999 at the Church of Christ in Gallup. Eoff died July 31, 1999 in Albuquerque. She was born March, 7, 1923 in Santa Fe to U.S. and Hilda Caudill. Eoff lived for several years in Pecos and later moved to Albuquerque, where she graduated from Albuquerque High School. She married William Smith Eoff on April 20, 1941. During World War II, she moved to California to work for Douglas Aircraft while her husband was serving in the Navy. They lived in GAllup for 47 years. She was a charter member of the DOES Club 164, serving as president for a year and secretary for 33 years. She was also a member of the Congregational Church and charter member of the Lioness Club. She was active with the square dance club for several years. She was employed by Sonny Turpin Trading and Richardson's Trading Co. Survivors include her husband, Smitty Eoff of Aztec; sons, Randy Eoff of Pagosa Springs, Colo., and Larson Eoff of Durango, Colo.; daugthers, Zoren Anderson of Durango and Zenise Miles of Albuquerque; four sisters; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. A graduate of Greenfield High School, Greenfield, Missouri, Specialist Eoff enlisted in the United States Army in 1994. He attended Basic Training at Fort Jackson, South Carolina and Advanced Individual Training at Fort Eustis, Virginia. He earned the Meritorious Service Medal, Army Achievement Medal (1 Oak Leaf Cluster), Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Ribbon, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, Aircraft Crewmember Badge, Air Assault Badge, Drivers Badge, Expert Rifle Badge. In December of 1997 Specialist Eoff arrived at Fort Campbell for duty with Alpha Company, 5th Battalion, 101st Aviation Regiment, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) where he served as a Crewchief. His previous assignments include the Camp Humphreys, Korea. He was born Oct. 4, 1921, in George, Ark., to Ervin and Dora Belle (Gibbons) Eoff. He was raised in Liberty, Ark. On April 26, 1946, he married Sarah Little in Berryville, Ark. Mr. Eoff served in the Army from 1942 to 1945 as an infantryman. He served in the European Theater, Rhineland, France, Sicily, Naples Foggia, Rome Arno and Central Europe. He received the Combat Infantry Badge, the Silver Star, two Purple Hearts, six Bronze Stars, the Bronze Arrowhead for spearheading invasions, the European-African-Middle Eastern Theater Campaign Ribbon, three overseas ribbons and the French Fourragere. He worked as a pipefitter for 20 years, retiring in 1987. He was a member of the Pipefitters Union. Survivors include his wife; a son, Larry of Bremerton; a daughter, Carolyn Meisner of Silverdale; and four grandchildren, Keith and Kena Meisner and Shanna and Derek Eoff. Born May 12, 1909, in Christiansburg, Va., to John R. and Helen Junkin Eoff, he married Madelon Earle on July 14, 1934, in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. She survives. Also surviving are one daughter, Mrs. William (Bonnie E.) Arnold of Peoria; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. One son, William; one daughter, Patricia; and two sisters preceded him in death. He was a chemist at Hiram Walker Distillery for 40 years. He was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Cathedral. He was a former member of the Ivy Club. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at his church. The Very Rev. Robert L'Homme and the Rev. Canon Ralph J. Stanwise will officiate. He was a pioneer resident of Elmore; son of John and Hannah (Fletchur). He was born in Cayuga County, NY in 1827. He had five brothers and one sister, all dead. He came with his parents to Ohio when he was 7 years of age, settling on a farm at Elmore. He was employed in farming and teaching school. He was married in 1849 to Sarah Williams Morse and was in the mercantile business many years. His children, Horation, Edwin (died at 15 years), Julia Williams, Jacob Nelson, Jesse Barthell, Lillie Blanche, Harry Leonard and James Bert who died in infancy. Services were conducted by Rev Smoyer, burial in Union County.
