Image name: Lady Jane Grey - The Nine Days Queen

She lived a short but tragic life. She stayed true to her beliefs in the face of death. She was beheaded at the age of 17 for being forced to take a crown she never wanted. Her legend will live on forever.

About this image: This image is based on a painting of young Elizabeth 1st, but I altered the costume and surroundings to fit my own vision. I have long been obsessed with Lady Jane Grey's life, and this is a small tribute to her. Figure was posed in Poser, rendered in Bryce with a 2d background using a photograph that I took last year, then taken into Photoshop for extensive painting with my Wacom tablet.
